Hello: My name is Denise Kent. I am a doctoral student at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Nursing. For my dissertation research I am examining the self management behaviors of young adult, 18-35 years of age. I am particularly interested in researching young adults as there is very little research published that explores DM management in this age group.
I have a website http://www.dm1research.com that describes my study and links directly to the site where participants can complete the survey if they choose. The survey is online and completely confidential and takes about 20 minutes to complete. I need 150 participants to complete the survey for data analysis. I currently have 60surveys completed to date. All participants will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win $50 gift certificate for Amazon.com.
I am going to use this blog to record my study activities such as which DM communities I have explored and other organizations that I think would be useful to others.
